WEYMOUTH, MA – A Level 2 sex offender who police said failed to register was arrested Friday and charged with assaulting three kids who were playing basketball in Weymouth, police said. According to records cited by the Patriot Ledger, Robert Snow Jr., 54, was charged with three counts of assault and battery and failure to register as a sex offender.
Snow, a reportedly homeless man with a listed address in Randolph, allegedly approached two girls and two boys ages 9-12 while they played basketball outside of a Weymouth apartment complex on Washington Street, the Ledger reported. He was allegedly stumbling and appeared to be drunk and began playing basketball with the children.
One of the boys told police that Snow poked him "really hard" in the stomach, a girl said he poked her in the neck and pinched her shoulder and the other boy said Snow grabbed his shoulder "really hard and it hurt," according to documents cited by the Ledger.
