South Shore Hospital to Combine With Independent Group of Doctors

An independent group of about 70 doctors will be acquired by South Shore Hospital, making the largest hospital south of Boston even bigger.

The group, called South Shore Medical Center, adds to the 170-person staff already employed by the hospital’s parent company according to the Boston Globe.

Doctors from South Shore Medical Center already had privileges with the hospital and referred patients there.
