Is Living with a Persistent Health Condition Preventing You From Really Living? 
A six-week workshop offered to adults living with the challenges of one or more persistent health conditions.

Class Begins: Thursday, October 10, 2013 
Time: 12:30 to 3 p.m. 
(Class meets once a week for six weeks) 
Share what you know and learn from others who are experiencing similar challenges such as:

Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death for children ages 3 to 14. Come to our free “Car Seat Safety Checkpoint” to learn from certified car-seat technicians about the proper sizing of car seats and restraints; product recalls, defects and expirations; and proper car-seat installation.

Dr. Hallowell provides an outline of a richly connected life, a recipe that details the essential, as well as optional ingredients in a life that’s high on connection and low on fear; a life that takes advantage of the massive power of connection. A special advantage of connection is that it’s free and infinite in supply. All you have to do to reap the joys and benefits of a connected life is to decide to live one. 

In his presentation, he will give you the practical steps you can take to experience the full and marvelous powers of connection. 

Dr. Hallowell is a child and adult psychiatrist and founder of the Hallowell Center for Cognitive and Emotional Health in Sudbury, MA. He was a member of the faculty of the Harvard Medical School from 1983 to 2004. 

Dr. Hallowell is the co-author of Driven to Distraction (with John J. Ratey, MD) and the author of Crazy Busy, When You Worry About a Child You Love, Worry, Connect, and Childhood Roots of Adult Happiness, among other titles. Barnes and Noble will have copies of Dr. Hallowell’s books available for purchase.
