
South Shore Hospital is holding Community Exercise Programs this month.
Classes begin week of February 11, 2013
The following classes will be held on Saturdays:
· Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program: for anyone with any form of arthritis. Focus is to improve flexibility and strength and to help control pain. Held in the hospital’s 92 degree therapeutic pool from 10-11a.m. or 11a.m. – 12 p.m. $35 for 5 weeks
· Shape and Tone: for any individual trying to improve body composition and overall health. Held in the hospital’s therapeutic pool from 9-10 a.m. $35 for 5 weeks
· Teen Aquatic Conditioning: for any teen between the ages of 13 and 16 looking to become more fit. Held in the hospital’s therapeutic pool from 11-12 p.m. $35 for 5 weeks
The following classes are held during the week:
· Men's Fitness: this men-only exercise program is circuit-based to increase cardiovascular endurance, strength, and flexibility. Meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 3- 4p.m., and Fridays from 8- 9a.m, at the 780 Main St. gym in South Weymouth. Call (781) 624-4367 for details.
· Stretch and Tone: meets Mondays in the therapeutic pool at South Shore Hospital from 2-3 p.m., and Wednesdays at the gym at 780 Main St. from 2-3 p.m. For individuals looking to improve strength, flexibility, and endurance. Call (781) 624-4367 for details.
· AM Workout: open to anyone trying to squeeze in a workout before a busy day. The program includes core strengthening, muscle endurance exercises, and flexibility work. Call (781) 624-4367 for details.
