About 300 Weymouth Homes Still In The Dark
That area of town remains the largest area without electricity.

WEYMOUTH, MA — Crews are working to restore power to the remaining homes in Weymouth in the dark.
At 8:45 a.m. Sunday morning, there were 5,195 customers without power, at 1:45 p.m., that number was down to 3,612 and made another jump down to 1,016 by 8:45 p.m. By 1:30 a.m. Monday, 438 homes remained without electricity.
At 11:11 a.m. Monday, only 323 homes were powerless.

The largest group of customers without power Sunday was South Weymouth with 2,200 customers, according to a statement from the Town of Weymouth. Town officials say the issue in South Weymouth was a feeder station in Abington.
Power remains a concern in town. Due to the homes in the dark, the Weymouth schools will be closed Monday.

The regional Red Cross shelter/warming center Weymouth High School remains open.
