Study Says Weymouth is the Most Irish Town in Massachusetts

If St. Patrick’s Day seemed a little more festive in Weymouth, that might be due to the fact that there are no towns more Irish in the state.

According to a study by NerdWallet.com using U.S. Census Bureau data, Weymouth has the highest percentage of residents with Irish heritage with 42.9 percent.

Nearby Braintree was second with 42.4 percent.
