Suspect in South Shore Bank Robbery Arrested

WEYMOUTH, MA — A suspect in a local bank robbery was taken into custody during a traffic stop Monday night,
Kevin Burns, 42, of Weymouth, faces a charge of unarmed robbery.
Police say Burns is the person who robbed the South Shore Bank on Bridge Street. Police say they received several tips on Burns' identity after posting surveillance photos on social media.

At about 7:00 p.m., detectives stopped a vehicle that Burns was in on East Street and placed him under arrest.
He was held overnight on $5,000 bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court Tuesday morning.
