Town Council Votes Against Sending SouthField Zoning Change to Subcommittee

A zoning change that would allow 1,000 adult-only housing units at SouthField will not go to the ordinance committee.
Tuesday night, the Weymouth Town Council voted to keep the proposal with the council and the planning board according to WATD.
Council President Patrick O’Connor said the vote would have kept six councilors not on the subcommittee from participating in discussions. The proposal calls for up to a million feet of square feet in addition to the age-restricted units.
