Trick-or-Treat Hours Set for Weymouth

With Halloween less than two weeks away, this year's trick or treat hours have been released by the Weymouth Police Department.

With Halloween a little more than a week away, this year’s trick or treat hours have been released by the Weymouth Police Department.

Trick or treat hours on Halloween, which this year is on Saturday, Oct. 31, will be from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Tips for Safe Trick or Treating

  • If you’re going “Trick or Treating” at Halloween, remember these safety tips, so you can have fun and keep safe at the same time.
  • Always go trick or treating with an adult.
  • Only go to houses where you or your friends know the residents.
  • Don’t knock on doors where there is a sign saying “NO callers” or there are no outside lights on.
  • Stay in areas that are lit with streetlights - take a flashlight with you just in case.
  • Stay with your friends - don’t split into smaller groups unless an adult goes with you.
  • Don’t talk to strangers on the street.
  • Don’t enter any house, stay on the doorstep.
  • Always look carefully before crossing the road, even if you are part of a group.
  • Be visible.
