Welcome to Weymouth Community Fair to be held September 30th

Weymouth Public Libraries and the Mayor's Office will present "Welcome to Weymouth," a community fair for new residents, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 30 at Tufts Library, 46 Broad Street, Weymouth.

Welcome to Weymouth is an open house for people who have moved to Weymouth in the last two years and are looking for ways that they can get more involved in their new community. The event will feature not-for-profit organizations that serve the Weymouth community and that are looking for new members or volunteers, as well as Town government offices whose staff regularly provide information and direct services to the public.

Residents may drop in to the event at any time between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., with no advance registration required. "We are looking forward to offering Welcome to Weymouth for the second time," said Robert MacLean, Director of Library Services. "Last year's pilot was a success with nearly 200 people and almost 30 groups attending. This year, we're looking forward to growing the event and welcoming more people."
