Weymouth Assistant Superintendent Chosen To Lead Hanover Schools

The Hanover School Committee voted, 3-2, last week to offer Matthew Ferron, an the job, according to Boston.com.

Weymouth’s Assistant Superintendent has been named Hanover’s new Superintendent of Schools.

The Hanover School Committee voted, 3-2,  last week to offer Matthew Ferron, the job, according to Boston.com

Ferron would replace interim Superintendent Carl Batchelder, the Globe reported.  The former Weymouth assistant superintendent is a former director of education and member relations for the Massachusetts Teachers’ Retirement System.

Ferron served as Weymouth's interim superintendent before Kenneth Salim was appointed.  He has worked in Weymouth since 2007.
