Weymouth Farmers Market Announces Opening Date

In just two months vendors will return to the Weymouth Town Hall parking lot to sell the best local baked goods, crafts, jewelry and produce.

The Weymouth Farmers Market is set to return June 22.  The 2013 season will run every Saturday  from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. until October 5.

Casey Savage, an assistant for Major Sue Kay said this year the Farmers Market will hold a variety of special events and four different village days for each section of Weymouth.

Jackson Square will  be celebrated July 13, Weymouth Landing on July 27, Bicknell Square on August 10 followed by Columbian Square on August 24.

Savage explained that businesses from each of Weymouth’s villages  and live music will be present at these celebrations.

The Farmers Market will also hold a Safety Fair on June 22, a sunflower growing contest from June 29 to September 21, a kid’s day on July 20 and a healthy cooking show.
