Weymouth Fire: 4-Alarm Blaze Destroys Apartments At Union Point

Crews battled a multi-alarm fire that raged at an apartment building in Weymouth

WEYMOUTH, MA – A four-alarm fire in Weymouth overnight impacted commuter rail service Thursday morning. The blaze was reported at an apartment building that is under construction on Trotter Road, according to reports.

The fire began around 3 a.m., and crews spent the morning fighting the blaze, according to the Boston Globe. Reports say the building was destroyed by the blaze.

The entrance to the station parking lot is closed but service is open to passengers, the MBTA said.
