Weymouth Lowers Flag to Half Staff For Marathon Explosion Victims

Weymouth Town Hall lowers flag to half staff for the victims of the Boston Marathon explosions.

A South Shore Veterans Services Director announced that the flag at all Town Halls across the state, including Weymouth was lowered Tuesday in honor of the victims of yesterday’s Boston Marathon explosions.

Hingham Veterans' Services Director Keith Jermyn said Governor Deval L. Patrick has ordered that the United States flag and the Commonwealth flag be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings immediately and until further notice.

The flags will be lowered at each town hall in the state, and each military installations and state-controlled buildings.
