WEYMOUTH, MA — A magician from Weymouth has been accused of assaulting two boys who attended his magic classes. David Hussey, 53, who goes by the stage name "David Oliver," was indicted on four counts of indecent assault and battery on a person under 14 and one count of indecent assault and battery on a person under the age of 14, the Plymouth District Attorney's office said.
Hussey was arrested in January after two boys reported he had indecently assaulted them while they were members of the Society of Young Magicians, according to the DA. The boys, who attended magic classes taught by Hussey, came forward separately and reported similar assaults in which he indecently touched them, the DA's office said.
Hussey is currently out on bail and has been ordered to stay away from anyone under the age of 18. He will be arraigned in Brockton Superior Court at a later date.
