Weymouth Man Charged with Heroin Trafficking in Holyoke

Holyoke, MA - A Weymouth man was arrested by state police this weekend for multiple drug charges.
Raymond Norton, 33, was charged with trafficking in heroin, trafficking in cocaine, and conspiracy to violate drug laws. A second man, Douglas Bailey, 38, of Washington, Vt., was also arrested on the same charges in addition to operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license according to the Massachusetts State Police.
On Saturday at 6:30 p.m., a state trooper stopped a vehicle on Route 91 North in Holyoke for a motor vehicle violation. After stopping the car, police determined that Bailey was driving with a suspended license.

A further investigation resulted in the discovery of 20 bundles of heroin inside the vehicle and a bag containing crack cocaine.
Both men were held on $1,000.00 bail at the Hampshire County House of Corrections and were arraigned in Holyoke District Court Monday morning.
