Weymouth Man Charged in Quincy Bank Robbery

James Sarno is already in custody in connection to a robbery in Chelmsford.

WEYMOUTH, MA - A man charged with a bank robbery in Chelmsford now faces new charges for two cases in Quincy.

James Sarno, 37, of Weymouth, has been identified by the Quincy Police Department as the individual that allegedly robbed two Quincy banks recently. He is charged with unarmed bank robbery allegedly robbing the Santander Bank on Beale Street and the Eastern Bank on Franklin Street. The Santander Bank robbery took place on March 16 while the Eastern Bank incident occurred on March 8.

Friday, Sarno was taken into custody after allegedly hitting up a Citizens Bank inside a Chelmsford Stop and Shop.
