Weymouth Man Charged With Selling Cocaine

A Weymouth man was arrested Friday after police allegedly observed a drug sale.

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Weymouth man was arrested Friday after police allegedly observed a drug sale.

Etido Ukpong, 30, was charged with distributing cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a Class B drug, and conspiracy to violate the drug laws, according to the Patriot Ledger.

Friday night, police were told by an informant that a drug deal was taking place in a parking lot on Main Street. At the scene, police allegedly saw a person, identified as Ukpoong, leave a Jeep and enter another car for 30 seconds before leaving in his car.

Police followed the other car. During a stop, the driver admitted to buying cocaine. Ukpong was taken into custody at another home that he came in and out of in under 60 seconds, police said.
