Weymouth Man Faces Animal Cruelty, Domestic Assault Charges

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Weymouth man has been accused of punching his girlfriend and assault a dog, authorities said.

Albert Richardi, 26 was arrested last week and arraigned in Quincy District Court on charges of domestic assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and animal cruelty, according to the Patriot Ledger.

Last Monday, police responded to a report of a domestic situation at the 7-Eleven on Bridge Street. A woman told police that she was assaulted by Richardi and he also assaulted her dog before pouring lotion over them.

Richardi was located on Evans Street, where he was taken into custody.

Richardi has been convicted of assault and battery three times and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon once. He also faces a charge of malicious destruction of a motor vehicle in an unrelated case.
