Weymouth Man Found With 17 Open Vodka Bottles In Car: PD

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Weymouth man was charged with his third drunken driving offense after he was found with over a dozen open vodka bottles in his car, according to police. Wade Hodges, 57, was arrested after he sideswiped a car at the Route 3A rotary in Hingham, the Patriot Ledger reported.

Responding officers found 17 open bottles in his front seat, some empty and some partially full, according to a police report cited by the Patriot Ledger. Hodges appeared unsteady and had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, police said.

Hodges was charged with drunken driving (third offense), negligent operation and open alcohol containers in a vehicle. He was released on $200 bail and arraigned Wednesday.
