Weymouth Man Had Loaded Gun At Norton Traffic Stop: Cops

WEYMOUTH, MA — Officers in Norton say they found a loaded loaded semi-automatic handgun during a traffic stop Saturday night.

Jarmina Kallon, 23, of Weymouth, was arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a firearm, possession of ammunition without a license, and various motor vehicle offenses, according to the Sun Chronicle. He is free on $1,000 cash bail.

Police made the stop on East Main Street after the vehicle Kallon was driving was allegedly seen without headlights on. After police learned the car's registration was revoked, it was towed from the scene. A routine inventory of the car turned up the weapon, police said.

Kallon is due in Attleboro District Court Monday.
