Weymouth Man Killed by Van in Braintree
Kenneth Montgomery, 74, of Weymouth was struck just prior to 11:52 a.m. by a white van that was at United Liquors.

A Weymouth man was fatally struck by a van at the facility of a local liquor distributor on Campanelli Drive.
Kenneth Montgomery, 74, of Weymouth was struck just prior to 11:52 a.m. by a white van that was making a pickup from United Liquors according to the Norfolk District Attorney’s office.
CBS Boston reports that Montgomery was hit after the driver lurched forward when he thought he was backing up. The victim was taken to South Shore Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the white van remained on scene and was also evaluated by ambulance personnel but declined further treatment.
The incident remains under active investigation by the Braintree Police Department with the assistance of attorneys from the Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit of Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey’s Office. There have been no charges or citations at this time.
