Police say David J. MacKenzie will face charges for driving away from a crash on Easter.

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Weymouth man drove away from the scene of a crash that resulted in injuries to two adults and a child, police said.
David J. MacKenzie, 51, has been issued a court summons on charges of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, operating to endanger, failure to stop at a red light, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and using a motor vehicle without authority, according to the Patriot Ledger.
At about 3 p.m. on Easter, police responded to a report of a two-car crash near Main and Pond Streets. Witnesses told police that a Toyota Corolla ran a red light and hit a Ford Escape. The driver of the Corolla then got out of his car and ran from the scene.

Police were unable to find the driver and the address the car was registered to belonged to a Weymouth woman who no longer lived there. Monday morning, the owner of the vehicle told police her boyfriend took her car without her permission.
