Weymouth Man Wanted In Boston Assault Turns Himself In: Police

Witnesses told police three men punched a man multiple times before slamming him into the ground in Boston's South End.

BOSTON, MA – A Weymouth man has turned himself in to police in connection with an assault in Boston's South End, police said. Michael Kenney, 40, was arrested around 4:05 p.m. Tuesday after arriving at the South End district station.

Around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, officers went to the area of Harrison Avenue and Fay Street, where a person was screaming for help. They found a man lying on the ground in a semi-conscious state, police said. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told police three suspects assaulted the man, punching him multiple times before slamming him into the ground. Officers could not find the suspects that night.

Kenney was arrested on a warrant for charges of assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and assault and battery.
