Two other women are expected to face charges.

WEYMOUTH, MA — Two Weymouth men face charges after assaulting an autistic man so badly that he was transported to an intensive care unit.

Tiago Teixeira, 19, and Christopher Keeley, 21 were charged with unarmed robbery, assault and battery with serious injury, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy. They were recently arraigned in Quincy District Court where they were ordered held on $5,000 cash bail, according to court document. Once they post bail, they must wear a GPS device and stay away from the victim.

On Aug. 22 at about 11:30 p.m., police were told of a person at South Shore Hospital who was assaulted about a half hour earlier. The victim, an autistic man, told police that he left his house at about 11 p.m. to meet up with a woman he knew a quarter-mile down the road. When he went to the meeting location, he found the woman in the car with another woman. After discovering that the car door was locked, he was allegedly assaulted by Teixeira and Keeley, who reportedly kicked the victim multiple times and struck his head with a bottle, according to a police report.

The assault was so severe that the victim was transported to the ICU at Brigham and Women's Hospital with three separate breaks in a sheath around his neck.

The woman the victim was going to meet told police that the other woman and two men had an issue with the victim because he stole marijuana from one of their friends and they were afraid he was going to do it again.

When police talked to the other woman in the car, they learned that there was a plan to rob the victim, with the women seemingly selling him marijuana and the men jumping from a hiding location to rob him.

The woman he was going to meet said she stopped the assault because that wasn't part of the plan, according to the report. Teixeria and Keeley allegedly took the victim's cell phone and wallet during the assault. The wallet was found during a search of the first woman's room and the phone was located in a storm drain.

Teixeria and Keeley were arrested on Aug. 24 at the Weymouth Police Department. The other two women have not been arrested yet, according to the Boston Globe.

A probable cause hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 27.
