Weymouth Mother Holding Fundraiser For Mentally-Ill Son
One Weymouth mother is now looking to raise money to pay for a lawyer to help take her son out of the school before he hurts someone.

A Weymouth mother of a mentally-ill child is holding a fundraiser to pay for educational advocates and lawyers to take her son out of the Abigail Adams Middle School.
Sethany Griffin of Weymouth said her 12-year-old son is a great kid with a giant heart, but when he gets out of hand, he has assaulted her and her husband, his own brother, his therapist, and even a police officer who tried to restrain him.
Her son has even thought up plans to kill his teacher, but the Weymouth School administration has rejected the student’s requests to leave the district and said they can handle the situation at the middle school.

Griffin is now looking to raise money to pay for a lawyer to help take her son out of the school before he hurts someone.
“As a group, we are trying to raise funds to pay for educational advocates, lawyers and additional needs that our son may have,” she said. “Any help you can provide in helping our son get the care he needs would be appreciated. My son currently feels friendless, with no peer group. It is unfair to leave him in a placement where he is a danger to himself and others, and has no one with whom he feels he can relate.”
