Weymouth Murder: Police Believe Suspect In Florida

Cornel Bell, 44, is wanted for the death of Michele Clarke.

WEYMOUTH, MA — Police believe the man wanted for the homicide of a 33-year-old Weymouth woman is in the Coral Gables, Florida area.

Police have already issued an arrest warrant for the Dorchester man wanted in the murder of Michele Clark. Cornel Bell, 46, is wanted for the death of Michele Clarke. Authorities say he may be traveling in a stolen 2005 dark Blue Ford pickup truck, license number FF47BK.

At about 4 a.m. Saturday morning, a friend of Clarke called Weymouth police and expressed concerns for her safety. Police responding to Clarke's Lake Street apartment found her dead with obvious wounds.

Bell, who has used the aliases Tony Smith, Mark Simmons, Cornel James, Cornel Carara, Cavin Lebert, and Kerrol Florizel Bailey, is considered dangerous and may be armed. Police ask that you do not approach him if you see him, but dial 911 and report his location.

He is wanted under two of his aliases for outstanding warrants in Massachusetts, one for assault with intent to murder in 1997 and the other for armed robbery in 2002.

Although he is not known to have left Massachusetts, Bailey is known to have family in Florida, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office.

Bailey and Clarke are known to have had a past dating relationship.
