Weymouth Police Alert Residents Of Level 3 Sex Offender Living In Town

Steven Roberston has notified the Weymouth Police Department that he will be staying at 410 Pond Street until June 1.

WEYMOUTH, MA — The Weymouth Police Department has alerted resident of a level 3 sex offender who will be temporarily staying in Weymouth.

Steven Roberston has notified police that he will be staying at 410 Pond Street until June 1. Due to his status as a sex offender, he is required by law to notify police of his residence.

Robertson was convicted of two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child younger than 14, indecent assault and battery on a children 14 or older, and open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior in 1985 and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older in 1993. He is currently not wanted by police.

Pursuant to Massachusetts General Law the individuals classified as Level 3 Sex Offenders by the Sex Offender Registry Board are determined to be high risk to reoffend. That degree of dangerousness posed to the public is such that a substantial public safety interest is served by active community notification.
