Weymouth Police Announce 2 Promotions

WEYMOUTH, MA — The Weymouth Police Department announced two promotions on Tuesday. Weymouth police promoted Brendan Fogerty to lieutenant and Timothy Jenkins to sergeant on Tuesday.

Fogarty is a Weymouth native who grew up in the town. A 15-year veteran of the Weymouth PD, he has a masters degree in criminal justice from Northeastern University. Prior to the promotion, he was in charge of the town's traffic division.

Jenkins began his career in the Holbrook Police Department. In 1997, he transferred to Weymouth in 2001. He has worked in the patrol division, the traffic division and the personnel office.

Town Clerk Kathy Deree conducted the oaths associated with the promotions.
