Weymouth Police Log: Drug Possession, OUI, and More

September 29

11:48 a.m. - Following a car crash at the intersection of Washington Street and Winter Court, Michael Shaw, 49, of Weymouth, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, leaving the scene of property damage, and operating under the influence of liquor (second offense).

12:34 p.m. - Police made two arrests at the Golden Dragon on Pleasant Street. David Welch, 41, of Brockton, was charged with shoplifting by asportation and disorderly conduct. Ashleigh Simpson, 29, of Brockton, was charged with possession of a Class B drug (subsequent offense) and obstruction of justice.

1:38 a.m. - Paul Elson III, 40, of Weymouth, was arrested at Nash’s Corner on Main Street and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, marked lanes violation, and operating a motor vehicle to endanger.
