Weymouth Resident Is $1 Million Richer After Lottery Win

WEYMOUTH, MA — It only took a few scratches on a lottery ticket for this Weymouth resident to become a millionaire.

Sally Gorham of Weymouth recently claimed the second $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s $10 Million Diamond Dazzler $20 instant game. She chose the cash option received a one-time payment of $650,000 (less tax withholdings). She told Lottery officials that she plans on using part of her winnings to buy a car and a house.

The winning ticket was purchased at Boston Convenience in Weymouth. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.

Two $10 million prizes and four $1 million instant prizes remain in the game.
