Weymouth Family Restaurant Continues To Give Back to Community
Since 1994, Margaritas has donated more than $800,000 to local charities as a result of the success of these fundraising events.

It doesn’t take long for Caiti Bourbeau to think how Margaritas Mexican Restaurant impacts the Weymouth community.
The Weymouth General Manager knows her restaurant doesn’t just provide families with a fun place to eat out, but it also raises thousands of dollars each year for local schools and charities.
Once a month, the Weymouth restaurant holds a Full Moon Margarita Madness, where they support a worthy cause, Bourbeau said. The evening is packed with prizes, contests, giveaways, food specials as well as entertainment and Margaritas donates a portion of the evening’s total lounge and bar sales to a local charity.

During these events, local businesses donate items to be raffled off.
The restaurant’s next fundraiser will be this Thursday, February 21 to raise money for the Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary. Bourbeau has a special connection to the fundraiser as she is running the Boston Marathon for the infirmary and needs to raise a minimum of $5,000. Thursday’s event, from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., will feature a guess appearance by Mix 104.1 FM, who will be giving away ski tickets and other prizes.

Margaritas also organizes a Noche Mexicana Fundraiser Program by giving local community organizations, such as schools and local sports teams, the keys to hold a successful fundraiser. Not only will they supply them with sufficient even marketing materials leading up to the event, but they will also donate 15 percent of all pre-tax food and beverage purchases made by the fundraiser participants to the organization.
“Really what we are just trying to do is to get the word out, raise more money and get involved,” Bourbeau said. “Noche Mexicana nights are a great opportunity, especially for schools. We are trying to invite them in and help them raise money.”
In 2012, the Margaritas supported a total of 142 businesses and organizations across the country to help them raise money for local charities through their Full Moon Margarita Madness events and Noche Mexicana Fundraiser programs. Since 1994, Margaritas has donated more than $800,000 to local charities as a result of the success of these fundraising events.
