Weymouth Salon Gathers Used Prom Dresses

A Weymouth salon is looking to make memories this prom season for underprivileged girls who can’t afford dresses.

Hair Essentials in Columbian Square in Weymouth is collecting gently used, dry cleaned dresses at their Weymouth store until May 22.

The dresses will be donated to local junior and senior high school girls to wear at their proms.

“Last year we collected over 100 dresses - and we hope to meet or exceed that number this year,”  said Lee McInerney, and employee at Hair Essentials.

Anyone who donates will receive 25 percent off hair care products.
