Weymouth Seniors Knit Hundreds of Items for Charity

The group of seniors meet every Tuesday morning.

Every Tuesday, they chat; they laugh; but more importantly, they help the less fortunate through knitting.

At the Weymouth Senior Center, a group of women from age 60 to 90 gather every Tuesday to knit for charity according to WBZ.

Dorothy Archibald said that they donated 600 hats last year and 150 afghans. Recently, they sent out 15 bags of knitted items to a pair of homeless shelters for veterans, with a total of 10 charities taking their work.
