Weymouth Sex Offender On MA Most Wanted List Caught

WEYMOUTH, MA – A man convicted of victimizing teenage boys while serving as an apartment superintendent in Weymouth was arrested Wednesday, nearly two weeks after being added to the Massachusetts Most Wanted List, state police said.

Richard Fleurant, 79, was found in a trailer park in New Hampshire. He is a Level 3 sex offender and was wanted for failing to register, according to state police.

Fleurant was convicted of four counts of unnatural acts with a child under 16 in 1977 and sentenced to 25-40 years in prison. In addition to his 1977 conviction, his lengthy criminal record in Massachusetts includes carrying a dangerous weapon - machine gun, lewd and lascivious behavior, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, unnatural acts and disseminating obscene material to a minor.

His last known address was in Gardner and he has ties to Weymouth, Boston and central Massachusetts.
