Weymouth Snowstorm Central: Winter Weather Warning Issued

A winter storm is expected to bring a few inches of snow and high winds for Weymouth Saturday.

WEYMOUTH, MA — Winter Storm Jonas will drop 6-8 inches of snow on Weymouth this weekend.

The storm is expected to wreak havoc on the mid-Atlantic Friday, possibly dropping up to 3 feet of snow on that region. By the time it reaches Massachusetts, however, it will have weakened.

Weymouth is expected to receive around 6-8 inches of snow and wind gusts up to 40 mph.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Weymouth. The advisory is issued when snow and ice are forecast to develop but accumulations are expected to be light, according to the NWS. Any snow or ice would result in slippery conditions on untreated roadways and sidewalks.
