Weymouth Superintendent Chosen for Cambridge Post
Kenneth Salim has been chosen as the new Cambridge superintendent by the Cambridge School Committee.

Weymouth Superintendent Kenneth Salim will likely become the new head of the Cambridge Public Schools.
Tuesday night, the Cambridge School Committee voted 6-1 to name Salim as their superintendent contingent on the ability of the candidate and the committee to reach an agreement on a contract.
Cambridge Mayor David P. Maher called Salim “A young visionary that could help bring Cambridge to the next level.”

Salim came to Weymouth in 2012 after the sudden passing of Superintendent of Mary Jo Livingstone in 2011. In May, his contract was extended through fiscal year 2018.
Salim will replace Jeffery Young, who plans on stepping down from the post at the end of the school year.
