Weymouth Woman Wins $1 Million Lottery Prize

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Weymouth woman is the 12th $1 million winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s Ultimate Millions scratch ticket game.

Denise McGrath chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000, according to Lottery officials. She plans on using a portion of her winnings to remove some trees from her yard that pose a threat to the roof of her house.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lincoln Square Sunoco, 185 Washington St. in Weymouth. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.

Three $15 million prizes and fifty-four $1 million prizes remain in the game. Five additional $1 million prizes will be awarded in the second chance drawing.
