The holiday is only a few weeks away.

Independence Day is just weeks away, but it’s never too early to start planning ahead for the proper celebration.

And Weymouth will certainly be celebrating. The town will be holding a Fourth of July celebration on Friday , July 3 at George Lane-Wessagusset Beach.

The event will feature musical groups, novelty vendors, moon walk structures for children and concession stands featuring a wide array of food choices before the fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
