Join us at ValleyCAST every month for a fun, FREE, and creative art workshop!
In summer we can often find inspiration for art in nature. In this workshop we will use acrylic paints to decorate twigs and stones. A fun part of this exercise is letting the object inform your design. Can you use the knots of a stick for a pattern? Does a rock have the features of a face? Let’s transform beautiful objects in nature into beautiful works of art! All materials are supplied, but you may bring something to decorate. Please wear an artmaking smock or t-shirt because the paints can stain clothing. People of all abilities welcome.
This workshop is led by multimedia artist Charlotte Eckler, who has learned from expert artists but maintains an intuitive process that can be practiced by artists of all levels and abilities.
