Join us at ValleyCAST every month for a fun, FREE, and creative art workshop!
Starting out with a biodegradable material – a recycled paper bag – we explore mark making, drawing, and gluing / decoupage all while creating the cover to a nature journal. We will learn to make a simple binding stitch and to tie the paper filler to the cover. Once finished, we take a look outside to notice the many things living in nature around the Whitin Mill. This is an exercise for all ages and abilities, meant to encourage interest and wonder in one’s surroundings.
This workshop is led by multimedia artist Charlotte Eckler, who has learned from expert artists but maintains an intuitive process that can be practiced by artists of all levels and abilities.
