• Williamstown Board of Health Gets Update on 330 Cole Ave. (iberkshires.com) — Williamstown's Board of Health is pressing the owner of 330 Cole Ave. to replace filthy bathroom vent filters before declaring a tenant's unit compliant with the state sanitary code. Members also weighed new state rules on kratom, discussed a possible "nicotine-free generation" tobacco policy, and considered pursuing Williamstown's enrollment in the Berkshire County Mosquito Control Project, which would require a future town meeting vote.
• Mount Greylock girls soccer opens training camp with championship hopes (berkshireeagle.com) — Mount Greylock's girls soccer team in Williamstown has opened training camp aiming for a third straight Western Mass Class C title and a deeper state-tournament run. With four experienced captains, strong returning talent, and key rivalries against Wahconah and Monument ahead, coaches and players say they're embracing the target on their backs rather than fearing it.
