2 MA Million-Dollar Winners As $1.6 Billion Jackpot Is Won

No one in Massachusetts will be a billion dollars richer today (probably) but two are likely sitting on million-dollar tickets. The Massachusetts State Lottery said a pair of $1 million winners were sold in the Bay State.

The tickets were sold at a Cumberland farms on Main Street in Burlington and at Wilmington Nouria on Main Street in Wilmington. The Lottery said the Wilmington winner was Medford man. Each of those stores get a $10,000 bonus.

If you played in those towns, check your tickets for 5-28-62-65-70. The Mega Ball was 5, but that combo was sold for the $1.6 billion jackpot prize in South Carolina.

Prizes must be claimed within a year of the drawing.

Now attention turns to Wednesday night's Powerball. That jackpot is at $620 million, the third-largest in the game's history and sixth-largest prize in U.S. lottery history.
