5 Dates You Need to Know on the Wilmington Public Schools Calendar

WILMINGTON, MA — The 2016-2017 school year is almost here, and while students may be dreading it, the time has come to make preparations for the upcoming school year.

Wilmington schools begin on Tuesday, Aug. 30 except for kindergarten. The return is immediately followed by another break, with no school Fri., Sept. 2 or Mon., Sept. 5 (Labor Day).

Here are five other important dates on the Wilmington public schools calendar that you should be aware of during the first few months of the year.

1. Sept. 30: Curriculum Improvement Time, Early Dismissal.
2. Nov. 8: No school, Professional Development
3. Nov. 15: High School parent conferences
4. Dec. 1: Middle School parent conferences
5. Dec. 8: Elementary school parent conferences
