• New Boston Street bridge to open sometime around Labor Day (homenewshere.com) — A long-awaited New Boston Street bridge is set to open around Labor Day, reconnecting North and East Woburn and directly serving the Wilmington side of the corridor where about 5,000 people work. The new span will improve access between Wilmington businesses, Commerce Way, I-93, and Anderson Station, supporting major housing, life sciences, and retail developments that many Wilmington residents use or work in.
   

• Middlesex Sheriff's Office Celebrates Successful 25th Season of its Youth Public Safety Academy (thereadingpost.com) — Wilmington kids were among more than 500 cadets who joined the Middlesex Sheriff's Youth Public Safety Academy this summer in Chelmsford, learning about police, fire, emergency preparedness, and first aid. The free program mixed hands-on safety lessons with fun activities and visits from partners like the State Police Air Wing, giving local families a structured, educational camp option close to home.
