Obituary: Charles N. Gilbert

Mr. Gilbert was the husband of the late Marilyn A. (Maguire) Gilbert and the father of Charles F. Gilbert and his wife Sharon of New York, Susan Gilbert Sexton of Mansfield and Arthur J. Gilbert and his wife Betsy of South Weymouth. He was the "Papa" of Katie, Joseph and William Sexton and Martha and Sarah Gilbert; as well as the brother of the late Elizabeth Carbonetti. He was also the husband of the late Joan A. (Anderson) Gilbert and is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends; especially Doreen Abruzzio.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 11:30 a.m.

Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, Dec. 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
