Apartments, Stores Proposed For Busy Wilmington Intersection
The plan before the planning board includes seven stores, office space and 57 apartments at the intersection of Lowell and Woburn Streets.

WILMINGTON, MA -- A developer wants to build a three-story, mixed-use building that would include 57 apartments, seven retail stores and office space at the intersection of Woburn and Lowell Streets. Jacquelyn Welch of Mass Equity Investors submitted the proposal for 203 Lowell Street to the planning board. The proposal calls for the apartment building to be located at the back of the lot at 203 Lowell Street and the retail and office building to be built closer to the road.
The lot, which is located between Textron and Lucci’s Plaza, would also include a stand-alone bank. The planning board had previously approved construction of two restaurants and a dog-care facility on the property, but that plan did not go forward, according to the Wilmington Apple, which first reported this story.
