Baby Delivered On I-93 South In Wilmington
A newborn baby girl may have been the reason why you were stuck in traffic Wednesday morning.

WILMINGTON, MA -- Wilmington Police responded to a 911 call at 9:56 am Wednesday from a man whose wife was in active labor and about to give birth. Why would an expectant father call police? Because he had just pulled his car over at Exit 39 on Interstate 93 South.
Wilmington Police Officer Matthew Starvo arrived two minutes after the call was placed to find that the baby -- a girl -- had been fully delivered. He administered first aid to mom and baby until Wilmington Fire Department personnel arrived to take the happy family to the hospital.
Mom and baby were taken to Winchester Hospital, where both are reportedly doing well after a hectic morning commute.
