Baseball and Softball Teams Ready for Postseason
The MIAA announced its tournament pairings on Tuesday, with two Wildcat squads traveling for opening round games.
The softball and baseball teams knew they were going to the postseason. Now they know where they’ll be going.
On Tuesday, the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association released its tournament brackets, and the two playoff eligible Wildcat squads are now readying for their next contest.
Following a , the Lady Wildcats earned the No. 9 seed in the North Division 2 section of the softball postseason. As a result, the team won’t have to travel far in the first round.

No. 8 Tewksbury welcomes Wilmington to town on Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and the winner will face Amesbury, Triton or Marblehead in the quarterfinals.

With that victory and a strong final push in games prior, Wilmington earned the No. 12 seed and a road game against Beverly slated for Friday at 3 p.m.
