Big Name Actors Shooting Movie in Wilmington Later This Month
20th Century Fox plans to film scenes for upcoming movie "Kay's Baptism" in town.

If you haven’t heard, some big-name actors are expected to be spending some time later this month in Wilmington shooting an upcoming film, “Kay’s Baptism.”
Production of the film, set to star Robert DeNiro, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, will take place on Federal Street from Feb. 19 to Feb. 26 (not including weekend days), according to a letter Federal Street residents received.
The letter also states that parts of Federal Street will be closed to non-local residents during these dates to accommodate filming and keep traffic limited in the neighborhood (don’t worry, there will be detours in place).

Filming is expected to take place upwards of 12 hours a day throughout that time period. Parts of Grant Street, Mackey Street and Flynn Way will also be used for parking of equipment trucks and picture cars during the day (they will be removed at the end of shooting each day).
A website breaking down the film in production, describes it as a “rags-to-riches tale about Miracle Mop inventor Joy Mangano, a Long Island single mother of three children, who became a millionaire practically overnight after launching the product on QVC in 1991. Mangano (being portrayed by Lawrence) is a fixture on the Home Shopping Network with her many inventions, though the mop was her ticket to fame and fortune. She began her inventing as a teen and kept on dreaming and tinkering while still a single mom raising three kids.”
